Oriole Park came to existence to substitute the Memorial Stadium. In the year of 1989, a special ballpark was instigated specially for the Baltimore Orioles. When it was opened in the year 1992 by Cleveland Indians, a disagreement was created on the while naming the place. When the former Orioles proprietor Eli Jacobs plumped for "Oriole Park", the governor of Maryland William D. Schaefer wanted to call it "Camden Yards".
