The Great historic market of Baltimore is the Lexington market. The main market is housed in two buildings while there are shops all around it. He main building ha shops that sell meat, baked goods, candy and small eateries. Access to the exiting market can be down by the light rail and the metro subway. This market has been running for about 6 generations.

General John Eager Howard donated the site for this market. In olden days the farmers from around the area would load their goods in wagons and would bring it to this site and everything was sold in open markets without any shops.
