Baltimore is served by the Baltimore/ Washington Airport also known as the BWI Airport. Located in the Anne Arundel County, the BWI Airport is conveniently located 10 miles from Baltimore and 30 Miles from Washington DC. The BWI Airport has been named as the best airport of 2010 by the Airports Council International for the quality of services provided to the passengers.

Most major national and international airlines ply regular flights to major destinations across the world from BWI Airport. The Customer Service desk is located near Concourse D, in the upper terminal level and is operational 9 am to 5 pm, 5 days of the week. Another customer service center is located at the baggage claim area of the Southwest Airlines. There are great family restaurants all across the various terminals of the airport for the convenience of the passengers. A point to remember is that as per orders from the Transport Security Administration, all lockers from the BWI Airport have been removed.

The BWI Airport also has many disability services. There are several public telephone booths with Telecommunication Devices for the Deaf across the airport. All shuttle buses are equipped with lifts and the personnel are trained to handle disabled persons. There are several bathrooms across the airport which are especially designed for disabled people and can be used without any assistance by such people.

If you are stuck at the BWI Airport there is plenty of shopping and dining options to keep you occupied for hours.
