Canton Square Baltimore: A Disclosure of Appeal

The O'Donnell Square, a park bordered by the north and south by the O'Donnell Street, is the center of Canton. It gained its name from the act of trading with Canton, China by Capt. John O'Donnell, who owned the land in the 1700s. Although approximately two miles from the downtown district, which many major attractions are located, this neighborhood in the outer harbor also has its charms.

The neighborhood is home to the Canton Waterfront Park and Maryland Korean War Memorial, the rehabilitated American Can Company building, marinas, and a public boat launch, the DuBurns Soccer Arena, as well as other bars and restaurants. These establishments are just some of the fascinating places nearby the Canton O'Donnel Square, and are barely enough to represent what kind of fun actually happens in the district. The designs of the houses in the neighborhood of the Canton O'Donnell Square are contemporary, yet exhibit a sense of the past and the future - which appeals to many guests and tourists as having a relaxing atmosphere.
