In the customary community hospital environment, medicine is studied and practiced through a very informal and practical approach. Residential facilities bridge the gap between the faculty and housing staff and provide a very conducive atmosphere for carrying out medical research and teaching the medical students.
Moreover, the hospital is associated with "John Hopkins Medical School" and "Maryland Medical School" that enriches the learning experience of the house staffs and further enhances the whole patient care, clinical research and education.
Ascribed to the "Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education" and supervised by the "Residency Review Committee in Surgery", the 5-year Residential General Surgery Program ranks second among the oldest residential programs.
This is a community based surgery program providing a favorable opportunity of learning. This not only includes the learning of general surgical methods, but also a far greater realm of specialist studies. It is known for the oncology, bariatric and orthopedic surgical programs. Then there's an active process relating to laparoscopic surgery as well. Inspirational experience at the "John Hopkins Medical School" and "Maryland Medical School" familiarizes the learners to more unknown encounters at St. Agnes Hospital, Baltimore.
